Ghostly Greetings! I am going to tell you some things that you can do during Halloween. Due to religious reasons, I don’t celebrate Halloween although I do enjoy joining in some festivities and activities such as binge watching all the best movies (I shall recommend some below), dressing up for fun and trick-or-treating (no tricks, just treats).
I think the best way to start the month of Halloween is by assigning 1 movie a day as a countdown until Halloween.
Some movies you should watch:
Hocus Pocus
Hocus Pocus 2
Halloweentown
Casper
It’s the great pumpkin, Charlie Brown
The Addams Family
Monsterville Cabinet of Souls
Another thing you can do is bake some delicious treats! So here is a simple recipe for Caramel Apples:
Ingredients
Store-bought Caramels
Apples (preferably Granny Smith)
Heavy Cream or Evaporated Milk
Optional Toppings (crushed oreos, chopped nuts, mini M&Ms, chocolate, crushed biscuits etc)
Steps
Prepare apples: Rinse and thoroughly dry apples with a towel and insert a caramel apple stick through each apple
Prepare pan to rest apples on: Line a baking sheet/baking dish with a sheet of parchment paper and spray it with non-stick cooking spray. Set in fridge
Add caramels and cream to a bowl: Place the caramels and cream in a microwavable bowl (about 5 cups)
Melt in microwave: Place in microwave for 30 seconds until 2-3 minutes and during intervals, stir well. Make sure it is melted and smooth and if it is runny then let it cool briefly so the caramel won’t run off the apple
Dip apples in caramel: Dip the apples one at a time at a certain angle so it covers nearly to the top center or all the way to the top. Rotate and turn it to coat the apple well
Rid of excess caramel: Lift the apple and let the extra caramel run off
Roll in toppings: Have your toppings in bowls and rolls the apples in them while they’re sticking to the caramel
Repeat the process for your remaining apples
If needed, reheat caramel for around 15 seconds
Let the caramel apples set in the fridge for around 30 minutes so the caramel is able to set and be firm
Last but not least, I shall grant you a small list of practical things to dress up as for Halloween:
Angel
Devil
Mean Girls
Pirates
Secret Agents
McDonalds Worker
Any basic cartoon character!
That’s it from me and I hope you all enjoy Halloween! Have a BOO-tiful day/night.
