It’s that time of the year where everyone is already in their holiday PJs. I don’t mean Christmas, but I do mean summer. After a well-deserved summer break for teachers, students and all, we shall start with a new academic term filled with new memories and experiences. But first, let’s dig deep into our favourite memories of this year: 2021-2022.
Chloe 7N - Sports Day
Chloe has enjoyed Sports Day quite immensely this year even though she is not a big fan of sports. It gave her joy as it was engaging and fun in a way where everyone could participate and cheer on. The food also gave her the energy to give her all in the races and games. She also managed to support many of her friends.
SeungYeon 7N - Book Week
SeungYeon particularly enjoyed Book Week this year. As a fellow bookworm, I enjoyed it just as much as she did. SeungYeon mentioned that decorating the door as a class allowed her to get to know her classmates more, along with developing creativity skills. She was also delighted to dress up as she got to live the day as her favourite book character: Percy Jackson.
Ellery 7T - Year 6 Transition
Being the wonderful role-model she is, Ellery has of course enjoyed her time leading and managing the Year 6 transition. She was able to be a helpful and encouraging ambassador and role model for the Year 6s. She particularly enjoyed interacting and making new friends with the Year 6s.
Though for me, I especially remember and liked the first day of school in real life. This is because I was able to see all my good friends without them lagging and pausing to fix their WiFi. It was also because I was able to meet all my wonderful teachers in real life and experience their lessons in real life. I did not have a pleasant first day of Secondary online, so the first day when we came back in real life was amazing.
