Cherished Memories of The Year

“What feels like the end is often the beginning.” – by Unknown

It is finally the end of the school year. For some, this is a relief. For others, it may bring around a sense of dread for the future. Especially for all Year 9’s as it means that IGCSE is looming just around the corner. However, no matter what, we must continue in our chosen paths, but let us talk about the brighter side of this year.

We had many interesting activities such as the recent Teacher’s Debate, Entrepreneur Day, Sports Day and much more. It was wonderful to be able to take part in activities that help us to develop essential skills in this world whilst exposing us to new environments. Personally, I found Entrepreneurs Day quite fascinating, it was a great experience to practice our public speaking skills in front of a crowd which is a skill that’s often undervalued although it should be encouraged more for future purposes.

Adjacent to the above-mentioned event is Sports Day, it was truly quite exhilarating to be able to play competitively with both TIS and SST, for myself I only participated in one event; the event being the 1.5 km race in which I was able to attain second place. It has been years since the last Sports Day was held and yet I must say that the atmosphere in the stadium has never felt so supportive.

I want to conclude that this year has been filled with both its ups and downs but we continue to trudge along. I wish everybody the best of luck out there in their upcoming exams!
