CNY at Tenby

Chinese New Year at Tenby felt slightly different compared to previous years due to the Covid-19 situation. We spent a whole day only doing fun and creative CNY activities both offline and online. Since some of the activities had to be done physically with other people, the online students had different activities, though they were still based on the same thing. On other days, we did some origami during our Mandarin lessons along with making powerpoint presentations about Chinese New Year.
The activities we did on our day off were cleaning and decorating our tutor classrooms. Students had to bring CNY decor and materials to decorate their classrooms. We were asked to bring a plethora of CNY themed materials to transform our classrooms into a work of art.
Another activity we did was making films and dance videos. For the films, we had to make a short skit about Chinese New Year Reunion Dinners. For the dance videos, we had to pick a Chinese song and either follow the dance shown in the video or choreograph our own. Right after we were done filming all the clips, we had to edit the videos to make them more interesting.
Overall it was a lovely Chinese New Year celebration. I wish you all Happy Chinese New Year! Comment down below about what you enjoyed during Chinese New Year at Tenby.
