The most awaited event of the year finally arrived on January 24th, 2024 - Sports Day at Tenby Secondary School. The atmosphere was electric with horns blowing, equipment being set, rules announced, and stands buzzing with excitement. Sports Day is the highlight of our school calendar, and this year was no exception.
The first hour kicked off with all participants gathering at Panasonic Stadium by 7:30AM, though many eager students had arrived by 7:00AM . The initial hour was dedicated to explaining the rules and laying out the plan for the day.
In the second hour, everyone got into the spirit, warming up and jogging a lap around the track to prepare for the challenging yet exhilarating events ahead. The next 45 minutes were filled with games and activities meticulously planned by our outstanding PE staff.
As the day progressed, we delved into more games, taking short breaks in between. Skipping ahead to the 6th hour, excitement peaked as we received our first points update to see which team was leading the pack.
Then came the 7th hour - the final stretch. As the day neared its end, anticipation grew thick. Smiles adorned the faces of those likely to emerge victorious, waiting eagerly for the moment to hoist the coveted sports day trophy. Games concluded, the stage was set, and the time had arrived for the trophy to find its new home.
And the winner is... drum roll please... Falcon! 🥁🏆
The stadium erupted in cheers and applause as Falcon claimed the title, marking the end of an unforgettable Sports Day at Tenby Secondary School.
