As I reflect on my time here at WeAtTenby, I can't help but smile at the memories and experiences I've gained. Being a part of this committee has been such a fun and exciting learning journey. From writing about the funniest topics to covering serious school events, it has been such an enriching and fulfilling experience that has taught me so much about myself and the world of journalism.
When I first joined WeAtTenby, I was excited but also nervous about what to expect. However, from day one, I was welcomed with open arms by the committee of passionate and talented individuals who share my love for journalism. WeAtTenby has been a place of learning, growth, and support that has allowed me to discover my potential and push the boundaries of my writing abilities.
Writing for WeAtTenby has been an exciting and fun-filled experience. The committee has given me the chance to write about a diverse range of topics, from school events to funny stories, and everything in between. My favourite article though was when I had the opportunity to write about whom I would want to invite to a talk show, and I chose SpongeBob SquarePants. I had so much fun trying to portray him as this god from Bikini Bottom. Forget meeting your childhood hero, I got to write to him. SpongeBob if you’re reading this, please check out that article and I hope I did you proud.
I want to express my appreciation to WeAtTenby for giving me the chance to be a part of this community. The experience has allowed me to meet and work with some of the most talented and inspiring individuals I've ever met.
Looking back on my time at WeAtTenby, I've learned so much about myself and my abilities. I've discovered that I'm capable of taking on challenges and producing work that I'm proud of. I've also learned that journalism is not just about reporting the facts - it's about telling a story… My personal way to do this is comedy. I mean every article I have written, I have tried to include something that makes you dear reader laugh. And I hope you appreciate that because it’s hard work. So anytime you are looking for a good laugh, read one of my articles, maybe my one on Valentine’s Day, I mean do you love it or hate it?
WeAtTenby has allowed me to grow as a person and I want to share my gratitude to the heads of WeAtTenby for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this committee. They've provided guidance and support every step of the way, and I feel lucky to have worked under their leadership. I am truly grateful for the friendships and connections that I've formed through WeAtTenby, and I will always cherish the memories and experiences that I've gained here.
To Darshana and all the heads reading this, it’s sad to know that this article is your last, but I hope that maybe it can provide you with some laughs before you go. And to my dear readers, I hope that you too can have a good laugh whether it’s about godly SpongeBob, Valentine’s Day, or anything in between. If you are able to find something to laugh about through my articles then my work is complete. So, what have I learned and discovered here at WeAtTenby? Well, it’s the power of humour in writing. That one’s for you SpongeBob. You taught me this…
