This term break definitely came at the right time! After an exhausting few weeks of exams and practice tests, it felt good to finally relax and explore a few restaurants and cafes that are without a doubt going on my “places to eat at when I’m being indecisive” list. In addition, I rewatched the show “Gilmore Girls” while eating a bunch of chocolate! Other than that, the break was quiet and peaceful. I spent the majority of my time reading books, studying and chatting with friends.

After a hectic mid-term exam period, I decided to take a well-deserved break. During the half-term break I was finally able to get some well-needed piano practice done. This was all in preparation for my upcoming piano exam. Besides playing the piano, I rewatched the famous sitcom “Friends” with my brother! Overall, this mid-term break gave me time to focus on my hobbies which made it all the more relaxing.

This mid term break was fairly tranquil and relaxed. Mainly because I got to surround myself with books, music and tv shows. I watched the entire 4 seasons of Breaking Bad! (but I have one more season to go) - Furthermore I tried learning how to play Marvin Gaye songs on the piano which was interesting to say the least. I reread Pride and Prejudice to surround myself with some classic literature and I explored different genres of music with jazz and hip-hop. Overall, the term break really took away the stress and strains of school-life and I had a great time!

Peace, relaxation, and self: A much needed mid-term break. Year 10 has been exhausting with its endless tests and the upcoming IGCSE fast-track exams. I made it my goal for this mid-term break to be as productive as possible, so I have been practicing exam techniques every day and have started a workout routine. A new member also has been added to my family, Tsuki. She is a ginger long-fur kitten we adopted off Facebook. Entertaining a kitten is no easy task, especially with their boundless amounts of energy and yearn for play 24/7. Cleaning this kitties’ litter is no joke too; I will spare you the details but my dad almost vomited!

After weeks of homework and dreadful assessments, I was looking forward to this well-needed rest. During the half-term break, I enjoyed waking up late without any disturbances and binge watching many Korean dramas. On the day that I am writing this, I am almost finished with the show ‘Extraordinary You’, a romance drama. I am also planning to start on a rom-com drama that was recently released called ‘Twenty-Five Twenty-One’. Overall, this term break was relaxing and I enjoyed every second of it.

After reading all of the poetic and well written experiences of the other writers, I can proudly report that during this break I have done… pretty much nothing to note. Other than my usual activities of playing games and occasionally studying, the only matters worth mentioning was my being forced to do a few Chinese past-year papers and narrowly avoiding reaching Iron 1, 0RR in Valorant. Still, it was five days off school and all the rest and relaxation that comes with that is, of course, always welcome.

I must say that this week's holiday was much needed, especially since I've been studying a lot for my Math and Science exams. There's still a lot of exams coming up but I decided to give myself a break as me and my family (with my dogs!) went to Cameron Highlands for 2 days and 2 nights. I personally love the food there, the strawberries were amazing as usual, and honestly it was just amazing to unwind and relax in a different environment.

I’m really glad that we had this mid-term break, especially after completing a bunch of exams. During this week’s holiday, I revised for my speaking test that’s coming in March, and I baked a bunch. I even made fettuccine pasta from scratch! I studied expressions so I could draw them better in my art. Overall, it was a very relaxing mid-term break, and it was a well-deserved one too.
