This term break was an absolute blast! My family and I decided to go to Lang Tengah to get our diving certificate. To do that, we first had to drive for 5 hours to reach Kuala Terengganu and had a short one night pit-stop there before setting off in the morning to take a boat ride to the island. For the next five days we did plenty of dives and gained a lot of knowledge and skills. We even managed to see a Hawksbill turtle in one of our dives! In the end, everybody passed the diving test and we all got our digital diving certificate.

I was so excited and relieved when the term break came because after endless exams, I was utterly exhausted. I spent most of my break visiting KL with my family. We went shopping for clothes, shoes, and other accessories whilst stopping from time to time to enjoy the delicious food there. During the break, I also got the chance to meet up with my friends and watch ‘The Crimes of Grindelwald’ together. I spent the rest of my break relaxing, playing the piano, reading, and watching Netflix with my family.

This term break was something that I anticipated as most of the school year was endless studying and practices for our IGCSE's
Needless to say, I was exhausted. I spent most of my break revising, spending my free time communicating with my friends through online calls that lasted till midnight. Although I didn't travel around Malaysia or explored different restaurants, I felt this break gave me a chance to truly relax at home and explore different forms of art to experiment with.

I had hoped for this term break to be a break, something I could possibly relish but I had to practice a lot for my GCSE’s and I was stuck in a pool of revision and notes. It was tiring. There were, however, some positive aspects to it. I experimented with music and got really into some old school R&B, alongside that I finished watching the fifth season of Breaking Bad which is an accomplishment for me as that season was horrific.

This term break was much needed for me as I had just finished my exams for Term 2. I initially did not intend on going anywhere or doing much, apart from hanging out with my parents. However I did go on a very brief and spontaneous trip. As I was fasting, I didn’t really have much to do other than finishing up homework and binge watching TV shows on Netflix. I did, however, manage to go out with my friends during the well deserved break. Overall, I had hoped for a more relaxing week but the break was appreciated nonetheless.

Imagine drifting off into a deep sleep with the thought of arriving at your holiday retreat, then waking up and finding yourself experiencing your dream vacation... Well, that’s what happened to me during this term break. My holidays had only really begun on Wednesday where my family and I went on vacation to Hibiscus Hotel in Port Dickson - or so I thought. After waking up from what had seemed like an everlasting nap, I was awe-struck to see that we hadn’t arrived at Hibiscus. Instead, our parents had surprised us and had taken us to our favorite destination of all time: CLUB MED CHERATING!!! My brother and I were over the moon at the sight of Club Med and all the thrilling activities they had to offer, for example, the amazing night-show performances, fantastic parties, radical flying trapezes, and my personal favorite, ‘The Teens Club’. This went hand in hand with the tranquil scenery of the nature walks, the calm waters of the white sand beaches, fun pool activities, the hardcore rock climbing terrain and not to mention the delicious buffet. These are what made my stay at Club Med truly whimsical. This idyllic destination surprise was truly the highlight of my entire term break. For those of you who are wondering where to go for the next term break, then I strongly suggest Club Med, Cherating: the vacation hotspot of your dreams. As they say there in Club Med “Areh Areh Cherating Areh”.

I woke up and glanced at the clock, instant regret and shock covering my face. I was late. Rushing around my house like a headless chicken, I realized that I had no reason to rush for it was term break! I am sure many of you imagine the term break to be a time to switch off, a time to unwind and live these precious moments of your easy going life. Usually, we are supposed to savor these sweet moments. Not this time though. With the alarm clock ringing in my ears, my family whisked me away into the car, barely letting me breathe (figuratively speaking). Staying in a compact car with my troublemaker of a brother is a true talent, trust me. Turns out we were going to the Lost World of Tambun Theme park, and honestly, it was a blast. Despite most of the rides being closed, we made do with what was available to us. The chlorine-filled water rushing against your body as you slide through the unnerving tunnel with your screeching brother close behind was indeed, a relish. Afterwards, I feasted on ice cream and sodas, relaxing in my hotel room while watching whatever was showing on Astro. The creepy hallway of the hotel was definitely a bonus; great for scaring your gullible brother while he tries to sleep. The holiday was not perfect (as all holidays have their ups and downs) but nevertheless, I had a good time with the rides. I’ve learnt to enjoy experiences because you never know if it’ll happen again. Overall though, I had a well-deserved break and that’s all that matters :).

From all the things I was eager for during the term break, studying for my Maths IGCSE was something I did not want, but was inevitable nonetheless. Despite all that, I found myself waiting for the day to finally have the chance to wake up at whatever time I’d like to. The break had plenty of ups and downs. One of my comfort book series had been adapted to a Netflix show and I binged it in a day because, honestly, who wouldn’t? It was an extremely satisfying balance to the endless blackhole of Maths, which consumed me. All-in-all, it very much was a well-deserved break and I found myself finishing multiple books and tv shows alongside finally having the chance to relax.

Everyone needs a break to unwind from their manic lives, even more so now since most of us are in school. 50% of my friends spent their holiday partying with others and having the time of their lives, whilst the rest stayed at home in their pyjamas watching Netflix. I was a mix of both. During some days, I slept at 2am after huge parties just to wake up at noon. On other days, I binge watched all seasons of Anne with an E. I mostly relaxed during the break though, but every few days we went to a family friend's house or visited temples. The myths and legends about each God were intriguing to listen to on the drive back. If I were to choose a favourite part of my holiday, I would pick the day when my family and I stayed at home watching reality shows together. Trust me when I say they can be very entertaining.
