New Years Eve

During this year’s New Year celebration, my family and my relatives decided to celebrate the New Year together. My best moments were spending time with my two cousins in Genting Highland.

We woke up really, really early on Christmas Eve because it takes an hour and a half to arrive there. I wore yellow cargo pants, a lavender coloured cropped top, and a blue denim jacket. I brought my luggage downstairs while my mom was putting on makeup. My dad then helped me put my luggage in the back of the car before we got on the one-hour-and-a-half car journey. I mean, we did get some food as we stopped by at the patrol station.

After what felt like forever, we finally arrived at the Crockfords Hotel. We checked in and went into our room to put our luggages. The hotel was really huge and nice with a beautiful landscape outside. We then met up with my relatives. But the person who I’m most excited to meet again is my two cousin sisters - one is fifteen years old and one is eleven years old. But, I’m definitely not excited for my younger cousin brother, who is four years old. It is a big age gap, but he is the most annoying cousin that I have. We waited for a while in the lobby, and when they finally arrived, my younger cousin sister hugged, or I should say, embraced me. We took the cable car to the top and the scenery was amazing. We then went to the famous Skyworld Genting theme park. It was quite breezy out there and I recommend that you at least bring a jacket there to wear. There were adventure boats where you would get splashed by the water unless you brought your raincoat - which I did. There was also a flying fox that literally leaves your leg in the air and just brings you around the theme park. I felt really dizzy even though it wasn’t even going fast. There was an interactive car ride themed to the Night at the Museum film franchise. There was also a variety of food and drinks that they sold such as hot cocoa and ice cream in the Ice Age themed area, burgers at a small bar, and more.

We then went on a shopping spree at the Genting Highlands Premium Outlet. My mom and my grandmother went shopping while we went to grab a drink to quench our thirst at Starbucks, and as per usual, my two cousins sisters would request extra whipped cream in their beverages.

At night, we ate at Burger and Lobster. We ordered plates and plates of fresh lobsters, and some burgers too. We also ordered drinks from the mini bar while the adults drank whiskey and beer. We decided to order apple juice to be like the adults.

At midnight, we also went to the hotel’s sky bar to wait for the new year’s arrival.
