The very first teacher was an old philosopher known as Confucius. He was born in 551 BCE in Qufu, China. This astute man was known to people for his knowledge and was the first teacher, specifically the first private teacher in China, who had parents eagerly sending their sons to study with him.
He taught them about his ideas, Confucianism, where he stressed the need to develop responsibility and moral character through the rules of behavior. From then on, the act of teaching has been passed down in the form of passing valuable knowledge from one individual to another.
We must take this day to appreciate our staff team in Tenby for providing the very core of our fundamental knowledge and guiding thousands of inquisitive and achieving individuals to the futures before them.
From kindergarten, when the very essence of education is shown upon the education in physical, social and emotional development as well as the very basics of literacy, math, thinking and cognitive skill. The very headstart to the futures before us, the basics of life, taught in kindergarten by the lovely teachers who never fail to give up when dealing with obstreperous, problematic toddlers.
Then leading to primary school. Where the unruly children now have the ability to communicate and are unfeasible to manage classes with classes of over 20 students. We must present gratitude towards teachers because imagine, that one thunderous younger sibling you have at home, whom of which is holding the very demands which could lead one to insanity. And teachers handle 20 of those booming kids! Think about the fathomless amount of headaches that could bring.
Past that and into secondary school. When education starts to hit its peak with the sudden presence of exams following checkpoint 6. Teachers are the beacon of light at this point in life. The very source of knowledge while an individual student is going through their exam years, teachers are the ones to guide us through all the study material and give us the appropriate revision while preparing for these life-altering exams. Apart from the exam years, teachers are also there at education related options such as the year 9 options for IGCSE and the future career pathway lessons in Year 11 and A-Level years.
Now imagine a world without teachers. Without education. Without knowledge being taught and experiences being passed on. All we may ignore it, teachers are the key to success in society today as without teachers, children would be deprived of their education and the world would result in idiocracy.
