The Student Resource Drive is back!

Angela

Taking notes is the main thing that students will do during lessons. To help students with their learning and revision, the prefects launched a Google Drive called the Student Resource Drive.

Cheryl from the Lead Learners and Communication Prefects committee has given her time during the mock exam season to tell us more about the Student Resource Drive, which was successfully launched last week.

Can you introduce yourself?

Hello, I’m Cheryl, a part of the Lead Learners and Communication Prefects committee. I am in charge of maintaining the Student Resource Drive this year.

Could you explain Student Resource Drive for the students who do not yet know about it?

The Student Resource Drive acts as a storage system, containing notes written by Tenby students as well as helpful websites via our recommendations. The Student Resource Drive aims to assist students’ learning and revision.

What is your role as the prefect in charge of the Student Resource Drive?

My role as the prefect in charge of the SRD is to ensure the notes submitted are accurate and aligns with the IGCSE syllabus.

How is this year's SRD going to differ from last year’s?

We aim to seek different types of resources for different types of learners, e.g. podcasts for auditory learners, mind maps for visual learners as some people cannot withstand the bombardment of paragraphs explaining a concept or topic. All the resources are going to be added to the drive by next Friday, so please stay tuned!

How do you think SRD will impact current and future students?

Current students can contribute by listing things that helped during their exams and revisions for IGCSE as they can view resources from their peers. Future students can use this opportunity to see and compare the different styles of note taking and learning. Therefore, be able to study/learn more effectively.
