February 14th, also known as Valentine's Day, is a day of celebration of romance and love in many countries. Besides love, it is also a perfect day to celebrate with your friends whom you love and care about. To show your love and appreciation towards the friendships made in Tenby, the prefects have collaborated with the Year 9 SLT members to flourish Tenby with the Valentine’s vibes on February 14th.
The ‘Friendship Day’ idea was first brainstormed by our wonderful Year 9 SLT team. The prefects decided to expand this heart-warming idea to a whole school charity event where everyone could share their love between their ‘friends, close companion, or someone dear to your heart’.

When we posted a message introducing this idea, we soon got over 100 responses, making this year’s Valentine’s Day very exciting for the prefects. We were delighted to see all the Tenbians sending their sweet, kindly-written love to each other.
After receiving all the messages, we printed them out in a lovely card designed by our Head designer of We At Tenby, Jolyn!
We also provided adorable crochet hearts to the first 30 people who signed up for this event. These 30 crochet hearts were specially hand-made by one of our Lead Learners prefects, Katelyn!
With these warm responses from the school, all the prefects were able to deliver the cards to Tenbians!
All the donations made by Tenbians went to The National Autism Society of Malaysia, and we could celebrate this unique romance off campus. The prefects would like to thank Year 9 SLT Team for coming up with this fabulous idea. We are grateful to all Tenbians for bringing Tenby a happy Valentine.
